SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Bruce J. Lewin of Waukegan, who passed away on March 24, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Bruce Lewin was born on November 4, 1941 in Chicago; he married Sondra Wald in Waukegan on November 9, 1984; and

WHEREAS, Bruce Lewin retired as an Executive Sales Representative from Merck Pharmaceuticals in 2001 after 33 years of service; following his retirement from Merck, he served as a substitute teacher at Beach Park schools; and

WHEREAS, Bruce Lewin enjoyed traveling, reading, watching car races, and spending time with his family; and

WHEREAS, Bruce Lewin was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Bruce Lewin is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sondra; his children, Robert (Kimberly) Wald, Rachel (Gary) Modica, Robin Lewin, and Jennifer Lewin; his grandchildren, Taylor "Shorty" Wald, Anthony "Monkey Baby" Modica, and Marissa "Rissa Roo" Modica; his brother, Dave Lewin; and his sister, Judy Petsky; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Bruce J. Lewin; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bruce Lewin as an expression of our sympathy.
