HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Dale S. Strassheim, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Baby Fold in Normal, has completed 12 years of outstanding service to the families and children of his organization; and

WHEREAS, Dale S. Strassheim has strengthened and enhanced the spiritual focus, professional support, and clinical work of The Baby Fold; he has created greater community awareness and legislative responsiveness for human services; and

WHEREAS, Dale S. Strassheim has contributed significantly to the Bloomington-Normal community as President and CEO of BroMenn Healthcare from 1991-2001; he played a vital role in the collaborative efforts to form and build the Community Cancer Center, and he was instrumental in Mennonite College of Nursing transitioning to Illinois State University; he served as McLean County Chamber of Commerce Chair in 1997; and

WHEREAS, Dale S. Strassheim has been a dedicated member of the United Methodist Association EAGLE Commission, the Child Care Association of Illinois, the McLean County Community Compact, the Young Men's Club, the Illinois State University College of Business Advisory Council, the Illinois State University College of Arts and Sciences Advisory Council, Crisis Pregnancy Center, and the Moriah Foundation; and

WHEREAS, Dale S. Strassheim has held leadership roles on the Heartland Bank Board, the Heartland Community College Foundation Board, the United Way of McLean County Campaign, the Adlai E. Stevenson Lecture Series, the Red Cross Evening of the Stars, and has served as Normal Rotary President; and

WHEREAS, Dale S. Strassheim can now "reallocate" his time and talents to his wife, Carol, their children and grandchildren, and pursue his interests and dreams; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we recognize the significant professional achievements of Dale S. Strassheim and express our sincere gratitude for the invaluable contributions he has made to McLean County and the Bloomington-Normal Community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Dale S. Strassheim as an expression of our esteem and respect.
