HOUSE RESOLUTION

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that the House Museums, Arts, & Cultural Enhancement Committee is directed to hold hearings and issue an Illinois Museum Attendance and Funding Report to review the issues and facts that affect Illinois museum attendance and funding; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Committee shall visit all regions of the State, hold hearings, and receive testimony on all State and Local Government funding as well as any private funding of museums within the State; the committee shall also review the attendance at various museums, educational programming throughout the State, and the economic impact that arts and cultural venues provide to Illinois; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Committee shall submit a report on its findings and any recommendations to the General Assembly by January 1, 2015.
