HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Deveraux
4Rogest Hubbard, II of Peoria, who passed away on December 16,
52013; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Deveraux Hubbard, II was born on April 19, 1994 in
7Peoria to Deveraux and Kristie (nee Moore) Hubbard; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Deveraux Hubbard, II, affectionately known as
9"Two", graduated from Richwoods High School in 2012, where he
10was a scholar and a member of the 2011 5A Illinois State High
11School Association State Runner-Up football team; he was a
12sophomore at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Deveraux Hubbard, II had a strong work ethic; he
14previously worked as a lifeguard at the RiverPlex Recreation
15and Wellness Center, as a produce person at Walmart, and as an
16attendant at Simons Mortuary; he was one of the first Eagle
17Scouts of Boy Scout Troop 219 and enjoyed action movies,
18listening to music, and being with his friends; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Deveraux Hubbard, II was preceded in death by his
20grandfather, Kelly Moore; and

1    WHEREAS, Deveraux Hubbard, II is survived by his parents,
2the Reverend Deveraux and Kristie Hubbard; his sister, Drew
3Renee' Hubbard; his brother, Dawson R. Hubbard; his
4grandparents, Theda Lynn and the Reverend Danny (Carroll)
5Hubbard; his great-grandmothers, Laura Drew and Myrtie Moore;
6and a host of uncles, cousins, friends, the Peoria community,
7and his St. Paul Church family; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
9NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
10we mourn the passing of Deveraux Rogest Hubbard, II, and extend
11our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who
12knew and loved him; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Deveraux Hubbard, II as an
15expression of our deepest sympathy.
