HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Otis Wilson
4Charitable Association on its work in the local community and
5wish the Association success with its upcoming celebration; and
 
6    WHEREAS, The Otis Wilson Charitable Association is a
7501(c)(3) charitable organization located in Chicago; its
8mission is to build a community of physically fit, healthy, and
9literate families through education and literacy programming
10that focuses on the importance of making healthy lifestyle
11choices that will continue throughout life; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Its 55 Alive program is an after school and summer
13camp curriculum focusing on educational development, physical
14fitness, and nutrition; the program helps children ages 6 to 13
15and provides a safe place for them to learn and play; as part
16of both the Governor's Council of Physical Fitness and Mayor
17Emmanuel's Fitness Council, the organization has been granted
18access to Park District facilities throughout Chicago; and
 
19    WHEREAS, The 2014 Otis Wilson Charitable Association's Big
20Game Celebration & Benefit Event will take place Super Bowl
21Sunday, February 2, 2014 in Chicago at the Castle nightclub; it
22will include founder, Otis Wilson and former 1985 Super Bowl

1Champion Chicago Bears' players; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
3NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
4we congratulate the Otis Wilson Charitable Association on its
5work in the local community, and wish the Association success
6in its upcoming celebration event; and be it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the Otis Wilson Charitable Association as an
9expression of our esteem and respect.
