HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate William Colbrook on the occasion of his retirement from the Illinois State Police; and

WHEREAS, William Colbrook was appointed to Illinois State Police Cadet Class #82 on September 21, 1987 and received his first assignment as a patrol trooper to District 6 on February 5, 1988; and

WHEREAS, William Colbrook transferred to the Operations Services Command, Intelligence Bureau in November 1996 and then to the Director's office, Inspection and Audits in May 1997; and

WHEREAS, William Colbrook was promoted to Sergeant on November 30, 1997 and to Master Sergeant on December 4, 1998; and

WHEREAS, William Colbrook transferred to the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit in July 1999, to the Division of Administration Human Resources Bureau in November 2002, and to the Fiscal Management Bureau in March 2006; and

WHEREAS, William Colbrook was promoted to Lieutenant on September 16, 2009 and transferred back to the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit; he transferred to the Director's office Chief of the Equal Employment Opportunity Office in June 2011; and

WHEREAS, William Colbrook was promoted to Captain as Commander of District 6 and District 8 on April 16, 2012; he will officially retire on October 31, 2013; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate William Colbrook on his retirement from the Illinois State Police and wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to William Colbrook as an expression of our esteem and respect.
