HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to recognize Sergeant Frank W. Liquori on his military achievements; and

WHEREAS, Sergeant Frank Liquori was born on February 17, 1992, to Frank T. and Jane E. Liquori and has a sister, Katie Lauren Liquori; he is a 2010 graduate of Streamwood High School; and

WHEREAS, Sergeant Frank Liquori enlisted in the United States Army as a Combat Engineer and entered basic training at Fort Leonard Wood on November 3, 2010; after graduation, he was sent to his current duty station at Fort Hood in Texas and is currently a member of the 1st Calvary Division 4th Brigade Special Troops Battalion; and

WHEREAS, Sergeant Frank Liquori was deployed to Iraq on April 19, 2011, and then to Afghanistan on November 16, 2012, where he served as a Team Leader; he has been promoted 5 times in less than 3 years; and

WHEREAS, Sergeant Frank Liquori has earned numerous accommodations while serving his country, including the Combat Action Badge for engaging with the enemy, the National Defense Medal, the Iraqi Campaign Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, 2 United States Army Achievement Medals, the Global War on Terrorism Ribbon, the Overseas Ribbon, the National Alantic Treaty Organization International Security Assistance Force Ribbon, and the United States Army Commendation Medal for sustained acts of heroism or meritorious service; and

WHEREAS, Sergeant Frank Liquori re-enlisted while on deployment and will continue to serve the United States Army; and

WHEREAS, Sergeant Frank Liquori will receive a hero's welcome by the Illinois Patriot Guard in Streamwood on August 10, 2013; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we recognize Sergeant Frank W. Liquori on his military achievements and thank him for his service to his country; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Sergeant Frank Liquori as an expression of our esteem and respect.
