HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Ross Kenneth MacNeill, who passed away on May 13, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Ross MacNeill was born on March 8, 2002; his parents are Ross and Kim MacNeill; and

WHEREAS, Ross MacNeill was a student at Longfellow Elementary School in Wheaton; and

WHEREAS, Ross MacNeill was a very proud hockey Squirt of the Admirals Hockey Club at Center Ice in Glen Ellyn; he began playing hockey at the age of 5 and skated his final game in February of 2013; and

WHEREAS, Ross MacNeill's life was defined by his motto, "Life Is Good"; he served as a model to everyone he knew and loved through his joy, courage, compassion, and loyalty; and

WHEREAS, Ross MacNeill's spirit will always live in the hearts he left behind and his intangible characteristics will always endure - his kindness, love, strength, sensitivity, and goodness; Ross MacNeill's influence will walk each day with those who loved him, guiding and supporting them in his absence; and

WHEREAS, Ross MacNeill was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Morley Kenneth "Poppy" MacNeill; and

WHEREAS, Ross MacNeill is survived by his parents; his sister, Rachel; his beloved grandparents, Marion MacNeill "Nanny" and Don "PawPaw" and Evelyn "Momo" Magruder; his aunts, Dee Magruder and Barb; his uncles, Kyle Magruder, Blair MacNeill, and Tony; and his cousins, Robert and Catherine Kesman; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Ross Kenneth MacNeill; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ross MacNeill as an expression of our sympathy.
