HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Spencer Adam Boos of Grayslake on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout; and

WHEREAS, Spencer Boos is a member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 96 in Grayslake; and

WHEREAS, Spencer Boos's Eagle Scout project was to create a tetrahedron playground for goats for the Hooved Animal Humane Society; and

WHEREAS, Spencer Boos is a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow, has completed 36 Merit Badges, and received the Ad Altare Dei emblem; he has completed over 80 service hours and has camped out for 164 nights, earning a Scouting Outdoor Award; he has backpacked in the Porcupine Mountains, which included 34 miles of wilderness hiking and 5 nights along Lake Superior; and

WHEREAS, Spencer Boos participated in the 2013 National Scout Jamboree, the 2013 National Youth Leadership Training, the 2014 Powderhorn, and the 2014 National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience; he was an Aquatic and Southcraft Counselor in Training for the Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan Scout Reservation, a Counselor in Training for the 2013 Kumbaya Retreat, a Counselor for the 2014 Kumbaya Retreat, and a staff member for the 2014 National Youth Leadership Training; and

WHEREAS, Spencer Boos has held numerous leadership positions with Troop 96, including Patrol Leader for 3 terms, Campout Senior Patrol Leader, Chaplain Aide, Quartermaster for 3 terms, Webmaster, Den Chief, Troop Guide for 2 terms, and Order of the Arrow Representative; and

WHEREAS, Spencer Boos will be recognized for his achievement at a Court of Honor on November 2, 2014; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Spencer Adam Boos on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Spencer Boos as an expression of our esteem and respect.
