HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Lynn Daly on the occasion of her retirement as Assistant Principal of Queen of All Saints School in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Lynn Daly is a graduate of the University of Maryland and Northeastern Illinois University; and

WHEREAS, Lynn Daly has served for 31 years with the Archdiocese, with 14 of those years at Queen of All Saints; and

WHEREAS, During her tenure at Queen of All Saints School, Lynn Daly was instrumental in helping the school achieve Blue Ribbon status by the United States Department of Education in 2010; she was instrumental in the creation of the school's Faith Partner program and has been at the forefront of helping the school earn grant funding to finance key technological advances; she also started many of the programs instilling leadership skills in the school's 8th grade students, such as the Student Council, the Ambassador Club, school spirit initiatives, the Snake Road field trip, and countless volunteer projects to aid the less fortunate; and

WHEREAS, In addition to her service at Queen of All Saints School, Lynn Daly also taught at St. Hilary's and was a former PTA member at Transfiguration Parish in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Lynn Daly serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Lynn Daly on the occasion of her retirement and wish her continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Lynn Daly as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
