HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Nita Jo (nee Bush) Smith of Wickliffe, Kentucky, who passed away on May 15, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Nita Smith worked as a customer service representative for 13 years at First National Bank; and

WHEREAS, Nita Smith was a member of First Baptist Church in Wickliffe, Kentucky for over 30 years and was a member of Ruth Class; and

WHEREAS, Nita Smith enjoyed spending time outdoors, stargazing, and trying new things such as hiking; and

WHEREAS, Nita Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Peter Mickley and Jessie Lea (nee Moore) Bush and by one brother, Phillip Bush; and

WHEREAS, Nita Smith is survived by her husband, Mike Smith; one son, Craig Smith and wife, Caroline; two sisters, Carol Kachadorian and husband, Mike and Karen Marquart and husband, Rick; 3 brothers, Peter Bush and wife, Sherry, Jim Bush, and Randy Bush and wife, Zina; and one granddaughter, Claire Elizabeth Smith; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Nita Jo Smith, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Nita Smith as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
