HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to honor Terry Rakocy for his many years of service as President of Aqua Illinois, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, Terry Rakocy was born and raised to a loving family in Youngstown, Ohio; and

WHEREAS, Terry Rakocy graduated from Youngstown State University, studying to become a licensed Professional Engineer; he subsequently received his Professional Engineer License, making him one of the youngest Professional Engineers at that time; and

WHEREAS, In 1972, Terry Rakocy met and married the love of his life, Carol; they have enjoyed over 42 years of marriage and are extremely proud of their 4 beautiful daughters, 3 grandsons, and 2 granddaughters; and

WHEREAS, During his successful career with Aqua Illinois, Inc., Terry Rakocy has practiced being a good corporate citizen; he has generously donated his time to help with charitable and civic organizations, such as the United Way, the Kankakee Development Board, the Kankakee Riverside Foundation, the Kankakee Pro-Am Board, and the Kankakee Country Club Board; he is also a Life Member of the Illinois Section of the American Water Works Association; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his professional career, Terry Rakocy has developed close and lasting friendships wherever he has worked and has served as a mentor to younger employees; and

WHEREAS, During his tenure as President of Aqua Illinois, Inc., Terry Rakocy realized the importance of the legislative process to the water industry; he has often been called to Springfield to offer expert testimony on water utility legislation in House and Senate committees; with his outgoing personality and integrity, he formed many lasting relationships with various legislators and staff; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we honor Terry Rakocy for his many years of service as President of Aqua Illinois, Inc. and wish him success in his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Terry Rakocy as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
