HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The University of Illinois is one of the world's best research institutions; and

WHEREAS, The University has 3 campuses in Chicago, Urbana-Champaign, and Springfield; and

WHEREAS, Undergraduate students at all 3 campuses engage in research on cutting-edge topics under the guidance of their professors; and

WHEREAS, Thirty of these students will be making poster presentations about their research on May 1, 2014 in the State Capitol at the first University of Illinois Undergraduate Research Day; and

WHEREAS, The campuses have received excellent guidance from staff and faculty of the three campuses in preparation for this day, namely Paul Diehl, Keenan Dungey, Ronald Loui, Karen Ann Rodriguez, Aginah Muhammad, and Thomas Moss; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we extend our congratulations to all University of Illinois students and their advisors for their creativity and inquisitiveness; and be it further

RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be presented to University of Illinois at Chicago Chancellor Paula Allen-Meares, University of Illinois at Springfield Chancellor Susan Koch, and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Chancellor Phyllis Wise.
