HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to honor Liz Collins as she steps down from her position as president and CEO of the Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce; and

WHEREAS, Liz Collins joined the chamber 20 years ago and volunteered on various committees for 7 years; she was originally asked to do some computer work for the office and 3 months later was offered the job of executive director; 2 years later she was named president and CEO; and

WHEREAS, Liz Collins is stepping down to spend more time with her family; she plans on spending time with her children and grandchildren and traveling with her husband; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we honor Liz Collins as she steps down from her position as president and CEO of the Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce, thank her for her service, and wish her the best in all her future endeavours; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Liz Collins as an expression of our esteem and respect.
