HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, United States Army PFC Wyatt Dale Eisenhauer gave
3his life in Said of Abdullah (Southern Baghdad), Iraq, in the
4service of his country on May 19, 2005, while serving with
5Headquarters and Headquarters Company 2nd Battalion, 70th
6Armor, 3rd Brigade Combat Team of the 1st Armored Division; and
 
7    WHEREAS, PFC Wyatt Eisenhauer joined the U.S. Army in 2004,
8following in the footsteps of his father, Fred Eisenhauer, and
9his grandfather, Fred "Fritz" Eisenhauer; he completed his
10basic training at Fort Knox, Kentucky and was stationed at Fort
11Riley, Kansas, when his unit deployed to Iraq; and
 
12    WHEREAS, PFC Wyatt Eisenhauer was born in Pinckneyville on
13June 14, 1978; he was the son of Fred and Gay Eisenhauer and
14the brother of Rebecca, Hannah, and Leah; and
 
15    WHEREAS, PFC Wyatt Eisenhauer was survived by his parents,
16Fred and Gay Eisenhauer; his sister, Rebecca Anderson and her
17husband, Willie Anderson; his nieces, Alexis and Caitlyn
18Anderson; his nephew and namesake, Jacob William Dale Anderson;
19his sisters, Hannah and Leah Eisenhauer; his grandmother,
20Catherine Eisenhauer; his great-grandmothers, Ruth Huffstutler
21and Mildred Farthing; his aunts and uncles, Larry and Sherry
22Goldman, Todd and Susan Farthing, Tim and Carla Hankla, Darrell

1and Sharon Eisenhauer, Ross and Linda Eisenhauer, and Bill and
2Mary Lou Ozburn; and his many cousins and friends; and
 
3    WHEREAS, This fallen soldier deserves to be remembered by
4the State of Illinois for his service to this country;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
7NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE
8SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that we designate the section of
9Illinois Route 127 from the intersection of Illinois Route 127
10and Illinois Route 152 to the north Pinckneyville city limits
11on Illinois Route 127 as the PFC Wyatt Eisenhauer Memorial
12Highway; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, The Illinois Department of Transportation is
14requested to erect at suitable locations, consistent with State
15and federal regulations, appropriate plaques or signs giving
16notice of the name of the "PFC Wyatt Eisenhauer Memorial
17Highway"; and be it further
 
18    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
19delivered to the Secretary of the Illinois Department of
20Transportation and the family of PFC Wyatt Dale Eisenhauer.
