SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Jacqueline "Jackie" K. Tabaka of
4Ivesdale, who passed away on September 2, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jackie Tabaka was born to James and Edith Nelson
6Nicholson in Evansville, Indiana on October 27, 1948; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Jackie Tabaka was a proud member of the Bement
8and Ivesdale communities and was heavily involved in numerous
9school and church programs while her children were young; she
10also served many years as secretary for St. Joseph's Catholic
11Church; and
 
12    WHEREAS, In 1979, Jackie Tabaka began her career in the
13oil business with Hillard Oil in Ivesdale; she went to work for
14Illini FS in Urbana in 2007; she deeply enjoyed the work, and
15she kept in contact with her customers and colleagues
16throughout her life; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Jackie Tabaka loved spoiling her six
18grandchildren, and she attended as many of their events as
19possible, from ball games to parties; she enjoyed spending
20time with her family in every way she could, and her family's
21Illinois football tailgates were some of the most cherished

1events of each year; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Jackie Tabaka was preceded in death by her
3parents and Charles M. Tabaka; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Jackie Tabaka is survived by her three children;
5Chuck (Jennifer) Tabaka II, Ryan (Lisa) Tabaka, and Elizabeth
6(Clark) Foran; her six grandchildren, Hannah, Colin, Crosby,
7Madison, Carson, and Charlee; her sister, Carolyn Jo (Kevin)
8Nicholson; and her brother, James Nicholson; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Jacqueline "Jackie" K. Tabaka and extend our sincere
12condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
13her; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Jackie Tabaka as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
