SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Reginald "Reggie" Dunbar Jr. of Coal Valley, who passed away on June 5, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Reggie Dunbar was born to Reginald and Pearl (Couert) Dunbar Sr. in East Moline on August 24, 1923; he served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II; he married Barbara Douglas at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Colona on May 4, 1968; and

WHEREAS, Reggie Dunbar was a union electrician; in 1981, he retired from Ericson Construction in Moline after 22 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Reggie Dunbar was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his son, Dwain Wyant; and his sister; and

WHEREAS, Reggie Dunbar is survived by his daughter-in-law, Susan Wyant; his granddaughters, Andrea (Charles) Hanson and Melanie (Eric Bradley) Rice; his great-grandchildren, Alex (Kim), Noah, Olivia, Cassidy, and Sophia; his great-great-grandson, Adam; and his special friend, Dave (Christine) DeKezel; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Reginald "Reggie" Dunbar and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Reggie Dunbar as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
