HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to recognize Christian Liberty Academy on the occasion of its 50th anniversary; and

WHEREAS, Christian Liberty Academy was founded in 1968 by Dr. Paul D. Lindstrom as a ministry of the Church of Christian Liberty and moved to Arlington Heights in 1985; and

WHEREAS, The Academy teaches the historic Christian faith and the conservative and constitutional principles of our nation's founding and history; and

WHEREAS, The Academy has had over 1,000 graduates from its local campus and 10,000 graduates through its home education program; the program emphasizes the importance of strong academics and Christian character; and

WHEREAS, Academy students routinely exceed national, state, and local averages on standardized tests, receiving no federal, state, or local funding; and

WHEREAS, The Academy currently serves families located across Chicagoland, with many families coming from other countries; and

WHEREAS, Christian Liberty Academy respects and honors those who serve in our nation's military and local police forces; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we recognize the 50th anniversary of Christian Liberty Academy and thank them for their contributions to the community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Christian Liberty Academy as an expression of our esteem and respect.
