SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Michael Stephen Schwab of Carlinville, who passed away on May 10, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Michael Schwab was born on December 1, 1955, in Carlinville; his parents were Albert and Mary (McCarthy) Schwab; he married Jill Tieman on June 17, 1983, in Carlinville; and

WHEREAS, Michael Schwab graduated from Carlinville High School in 1973; and

WHEREAS, Michael Schwab was a grain and livestock farmer in Honey Point Township for over 40 years; he also worked as a mechanic for the Smith Equipment Company; and

WHEREAS, Michael Schwab was a member of Ss. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville; he was also a member of the Macoupin County Fair Board and the Carlinville Moose Lodge and the founder of the "Kahuna Club"; and

WHEREAS, Michael Schwab enjoyed hunting, cooking, camping, and giving his grandson tractor rides; and

WHEREAS, Michael Schwab is survived by his wife, Jill; his daughters, Amanda J. Steward (Jacob) and Taylor A. Schwab; his son, Quenton A. Schwab; his grandson, Carter Zilm; his parents, Albert and Mary Schwab; his brothers, Patrick J. Schwab (Michelle) and Kevin L. Schwab (Jessica); his sister, Sandra D. Schwab (Shane); and his nephew and 3 nieces; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Michael Stephen Schwab; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Michael Schwab as an expression of our sympathy.
