SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mark A. Glassgow, who passed away on March 23, 2012; and

WHEREAS, He was born on February 23, 1968; he graduated from Fremd High School and Eastern Illinois University; and

WHEREAS, He served in the United States Navy for 3 years aboard the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy; and

WHEREAS, He worked in finance and banking in Charleston and Champaign; and

WHEREAS, Mark Glassgow was the proud father of Mark D., Sophie, and Mia Glassgow and former husband of their mother, Liz Glassgow; he was the loving son of Judy, nee Gureno, and the late Bill Glassgow, Jr.; the dearest brother of Matthew (Ann) Glassgow, Lisa (Chris) Dallavo, and John Glassgow; the cherished uncle of Thomas and Katie Glassgow and Olivia and Ava Dallavo; the fond nephew of Nancy (Reed) Cooper, Mary Ann (the late Augie) Gureno, and Mary Jo (the late Ray) Randall; he is also survived by several cousins and his loving girlfriend, Mary Potter; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Mark Glassgow; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mark Glassgow as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
