SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Dolores F. Jones of Aurora, who passed away on November 22, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Jones was born on April 21, 1940; she was the daughter of Arthur and Nancy Towles; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Jones served as a devoted, dedicated, and compassionate nurse at Jennings Terrace for many years; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Jones was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth J. Fews Sr.; her granddaughter, Tameeka Bailey; and her grandson, Titus Fews; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Jones is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Gerald A. Jones; her children, Tracy Fews and Nico Ponquinette; her step-children, Jacqueline (Keith) Brown, Gerald (Kathy) Jones Jr., and Raymond Jones; her grandchildren, Kenneth Joseph Fews Jr., Chaundra Thomas, Andre Meeks, Starleshea Nico Fews, Kenneth A. Ponquinette, and Niya A. Ponquinette; her sisters, Bonnie Clayton, Harriett Towles, and Joyce (Clarence) Washington; and her many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Dolores F. Jones; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dolores Jones as an expression of our sympathy.
