SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Stanley C. Fayfar, Sr. of Aurora, who passed away on November 5, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Stanley Fayfar, Sr. was born on April 8, 1920, in Aurora; and

WHEREAS, Stanley Fayfar, Sr. served his country as an engineer with the United States Army during World War II; during the war, he built landing strips in Europe; and

WHEREAS, Stanley Fayfar, Sr. was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church, where he served for many years as an usher; he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Montgomery post of the V.F.W., and the Phoenix Club; he also called Bingo at St. Joseph Church for many years; and

WHEREAS, Stanley Fayfar, Sr. was preceded in death by his first wife, Goldie (Sipos) Fayfar; his parents, Joseph and Mary Fayfar; and his brothers, Joseph Fayfar, Albert Fayfar, and Richard Fayfar; and

WHEREAS, Stanley Fayfar, Sr. is survived by his wife, Agnes (Koos) Fayfar; his children, Kathleen (Dennis) Galloway, Marlene (John G.) Aister, Stanley C. (Sally Farner) Fayfar, Jr., Larry S. (Laura) Fayfar, and Gregory (Jan Mangers) Fayfar; his grandchildren, Christopher Galloway, Carrie (Nick) Schlosser, Nick Aister, Megan Aister, Scott (Melissa) Fayfar, Todd Fayfar, Lisa Fayfar, and Sean Fayfar; his 5 great grandchildren; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Stanley C. Fayfar, Sr.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Stanley Fayfar, Sr. as an expression of our sympathy.
