SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Maxine Rausch of Meredosia, who passed away on November 30, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Maxine Rausch was born on February 9, 1921, in Meredosia; her parents were Otto and Margarite McLain Yeakel; she married Herman Henry Rausch on May 5, 1937, in Winchester; and

WHEREAS, After attending Meredosia High School, Maxine Rausch worked as a switchboard operator for a local phone company; she subsequently worked at Passavant Area Hospital for over 20 years; and

WHEREAS, After her retirement, Maxine Rausch enjoyed traveling with her husband, bowling, playing bingo, reading, and spending time with her children and grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Maxine Rausch was preceded in death by her son, Darrell Henry Rausch, and her brothers, John Layton Yeakel and Teddy Yeakel; and

WHEREAS, Maxine Rausch is survived by her husband, Herman; her children, James Herman Rausch, Elizabeth Joyce (Charles) Hanson, Gary Lynn (Carole) Rausch, and Cathy Sue (Leland) Knott; her 12 grandchildren; and her 15 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Maxine Rausch; and be it further

RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be presented to the family of Maxine Rausch as an expression of our sympathy.
