HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the Quincy Notre Dame Lady Raiders girls basketball team for winning their second consecutive IHSA Class 2A State title on February 25, 2012; and

WHEREAS, The Lady Raiders defeated Breese Central 62-31 to secure victory; the team ended the season with an impressive 33-1 record; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Quincy Notre Dame Lady Raiders girls basketball team are Arianna Rigg, Shannon Foley, Kristen Gengenbacher, Bailey Gengenbacher, Abby Grawe, Gracie Barnes, Emily Arnold, Kate Gengenbacher, Kassidy Gengenbacher, Hannah Marcolla, Tori Kuhn, Jordan Frericks, Mary Beth Hugenberg, Molly Waterkotte, Holly Dix, Cassidy Foley, and Morgan Martin; the team's head coach is Eric Orne and the assistant coaches are Kevin Meyer and Mark Longo; and

WHEREAS, The student assistants are Maddison Ervin, Holly Dix, Maggie Schwartz, and Quenna Keating; the scorekeepers are Beth Cash, Ray Weast, David Adam, and Rob Arnold; sports information is provided by Frank Cash; and the trainer is Jay Zanger; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Quincy Notre Dame Lady Raiders girls basketball team serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the members of the Quincy Notre Dame Lady Raiders girls basketball team for winning the IHSA Class 2A State title and wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Quincy Notre Dame Lady Raiders girls basketball team as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
