HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the Rochester Rockets varsity football team on the occasion of winning the IHSA Class 4A State Football Tournament; and

WHEREAS, The Rochester Rockets defeated the Richmond Burton Rockets 42-39 to claim victory at the IHSA Class 4A State Football Tournament; the team ended the season with a phenomenal 12-2 record; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Rochester Rockets are John Perry, Blake Pasley, Cj Baker, Tre Fry, Dakota Greer, Dallas Greer, Evan Sembell, Jesse Wooden, Nick Gentile, Matt Swaine, Jeremy Bivens, Marshall Call, Wes Lunt, Zach Grant, Austin Green, Jimmy Hefley, Grant Fitzsimmons, Joey Coffey, Blake Lutzow, Jesse Heissinger, Alex Tackett, Gabe Ferguson, Luke Bucher, Drake Berberet, Drew Hill, Ian Wells, Steven Hart, Logan Laub, Garret Dooley, James Pearce, Dylan Handlin, Tyler Mazzini, Michael Zabik, Dylan Post, Reed Watson, Seth Cronin, Luke Fraker, Evan Grigsby, Joe Roach, Zachary Denning, Cody Sands, Dan Blissett, Adam Doedtman, Drake Leeper, Gavin Campbell, Dingana Fokum, Jake King, David Huston, Austin Staton, Hunter Brooks, Logan Larue, Charlie Scribner, Nathan Hatchett, Steven Russell, Josh Neff, Nick Dilley, Drew Szabados, Anthony Roller, Brett Geever, Jarod Altadonna, David Gunter, Matt Donelan, Reece Torricelli, Joe Romanotto, Drake Curry, Robert Seaton, Robbie Kelley, Brendan Bunch, Alex Staton, Colton Piper, Brock Buscher, Bret Sandvoss, Neil Hofstrand, Liam Biesiada, Lucas Hendren, Evan Mcminn, Connor Drendel, and Stephen Vlach; the team's head coach is Derek Leonard and the assistant coaches are Brad Alewelt, Steve Beucker, J.C. Clarke, Brad Leonard, Derrick Nelson, Troy Piper, Jim Smith, and Matt Riechers; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Rochester Rockets serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the members of the Rochester Rockets varsity football team on their victory and wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Rochester Rockets head coach Derek Leonard as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
