HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Woodridge Park
4District on being awarded "Illinois Distinguished Accredited
5Agency" status by the Illinois Association of Park Districts
6and the Illinois Park and Recreation Association; and
 
7    WHEREAS, The Woodridge Park District Board of Park
8Commissioners and staff were officially recognized and
9presented with the award on January 28, 2011, at the Illinois
10Association of Park Districts and the Illinois Park and
11Recreation Association's Soaring to New Heights Conference in
12Chicago; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Distinguished Park and Recreation Accreditation
14is the culmination of a comprehensive evaluation that reviews
15adherence to the best practices within the profession and
16compliance with Illinois laws governing park district
17administration; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Operational categories that are examined include
19general management, finance and business operations,
20facilities and parks, personnel, recreation services, and
21legal administration; and

1    WHEREAS, The Woodridge Park District was first awarded
2"Distinguished Agency" status in 1994; it has now become one of
3only 13 out of Illinois' 400 plus park districts to be a
4"Distinguished Accredited Agency"; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
6NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
7we congratulate the Woodridge Park District and its
8commissioners and staff on being awarded "Illinois
9Distinguished Accredited Agency" status, and we commend them
10for the excellence they have achieved; and be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to Mike Adams, Executive Director of the Woodridge
13Park District, as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
