HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Euris and Marian Johnson on their 50th wedding anniversary; and

WHEREAS, Euris and Marian Johnson were married on September 30, 1961; and

WHEREAS, Euris worked for the Chicago Public Schools for over 30 years and Marian was a dedicated nurse at Provident Hospital for 30 years; and

WHEREAS, They will celebrate with their children, Thea Johnson, Allison Johnson Grandberry, and Euris (Bomani) Johnson; and their grandchildren, Kevin D. Grandberry, Jr., Cameron R. Grandberry, and Nurah Mekeba Carr Johnson; and

WHEREAS, a rededication ceremony will be held at a later date at the Congregational Church of Park Manor, where they were married 50 years ago; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Euris and Marian Johnson on this momentous occasion and wish them continued happiness and good health for years to come; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Euris and Marian Johnson as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
