HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, There are 329 Rotary Clubs in the State of Illinois that are members of Rotary International and belong to 6 Rotary Districts, namely, Districts 6420, 6440, 06450, 6460, 6490, and 6510; and

WHEREAS, These Rotary Clubs include over 13,350 Rotarians who motto is "Service Above Self" and are committed to serving their communities in significant ways throughout the year; and

WHEREAS, These Illinois Rotarians want to join together on one specific day to dedicate their collective services to communities throughout the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we designate February 23, 2012 as Illinois Rotarians Service Day in the State of Illinois; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Rotary Districts of Illinois as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
