HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Pam Van Kirk is retiring as director of the Galesburg Public Library after 13 years of dedicated service; and

WHEREAS, Pam Van Kirk has served on the Board of the Directors of the Alliance Library System as Treasurer, Vice President, and committee member; and

WHEREAS, Pam Van Kirk has participated in numerous Knox County and Galesburg activities as a member and officer of various committees and boards; and

WHEREAS, Pam Van Kirk brought her experience as a librarian and administrator to the Galesburg Public Library and demonstrated her commitment to Galesburg and its library services; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we join the staff of the Galesburg Public Library, the Illinois Library Association, the Galesburg Library Board of Trustees, the Galesburg Library Foundation Board of Trustees, and her family and friends in congratulating Pam Van Kirk on her retirement and wish her great success and happiness in her future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Pam Van Kirk as an expression of appreciation for her years of service and dedication as director of the Galesburg Public Library.
