HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the administration, teachers, and students of Waubonsie Valley High School on the occasion of being selected as a Grammy Signature Gold School for 2011; and

WHEREAS, The Grammy Signature Gold Schools designation recognizes top music education programs at United States public high schools; and

WHEREAS, As a Grammy Signature Gold School, Waubonsie Valley High School will receive $5,500 to benefit the school's music program; and

WHEREAS, Waubonsie Valley High School has received the Grammy Signature Gold School designation an astounding seven times; and

WHEREAS, Waubonsie Valley High School will receive the Grammy Signature Gold School award at an event on May 21, 2011; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the administration, teachers, and students of Waubonsie Valley High School on the occasion of being selected as a Grammy Signature Gold School for 2011 and wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Waubonsie Valley High School as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
