1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the
4 Winchester West Central Coop Lady Cougars girls basketball team
5 for their victory at the IHSA Class 1A State Tournament; and

6     WHEREAS, The Lady Cougars beat Hanover 29-26 to secure
7 victory at the IHSA Class 1A State Tournament; the team ended
8 their season with an impressive 30-3 record; and

9     WHEREAS, The members of the Winchester West Central Coop
10 Lady Cougars are Karlee VanDeVelde, Cassidy Kaufmann, Kelsey
11 Bettis, Ashlyn Jacquot, Dakota Nicholson, Alex Schaad, Rachel
12 Kilver, KayDee Carmody, Tiffany King, Taylor Shanks, Haley
13 Hart, and Andrea Lietz; the team's head coach is Brian L.
14 Bettis and the assistant coach is Jason Likes; and

15     WHEREAS, The members of the Winchester West Central Coop
16 Lady Cougars serve as models of hard work, integrity, and
17 dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore,
18 be it

19     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
21 we congratulate the members of the Winchester West Central Coop

1 Lady Cougars girls basketball team for their victory at the
2 IHSA Class 1A State Tournament and wish them continued success
3 and happiness in the future; and be it further

4     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5 presented to the Winchester West Central Coop Lady Cougars
6 girls basketball team as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
