HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Andrew Kramer on
4the occasion of attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Andrew Kramer has been involved in Scouting since
6he joined as a Bobcat; he crossed over to the Boy Scouts on
7February 28, 2004 after earning his Arrow of Light as a Webelos
8Scout; and
 
9    WHEREAS, During his tenure with the Boy Scouts, Andrew
10Kramer has earned a total of 29 merit badges and has served in
11a variety of leadership positions, including Webelos Den Chief
12for Pack 199; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Andrew Kramer was awarded the Certificate of Merit
14by Troop #85 on September 6, 2008 for aiding a family whose
15canoe had flipped over in deeper water and was in need of
16assistance; and
 
17    WHEREAS, To achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, Andrew Kramer
18led a project that resulted in 43 units of blood being donated
19to the Red Cross, more than 500 pounds of food being donated to
20the Avon Township Food Pantry, and 200 pounds of clothing being
21donated to the Purple Heart Veterans association; and

1    WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout will be bestowed upon
2Andrew Kramer by the Boy Scouts of America at a Court of Honor
3ceremony on March 26, 2011; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Andrew Kramer serves as a model of hard work,
5integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of
6Illinois; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
8NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
9we congratulate Andrew Kramer on the occasion of attaining the
10coveted rank of Eagle Scout and wish him continued success and
11happiness in the future; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to Andrew Kramer as a symbol of our esteem and
14respect.
