HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Andrew Kramer on the occasion of attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout; and

WHEREAS, Andrew Kramer has been involved in Scouting since he joined as a Bobcat; he crossed over to the Boy Scouts on February 28, 2004 after earning his Arrow of Light as a Webelos Scout; and

WHEREAS, During his tenure with the Boy Scouts, Andrew Kramer has earned a total of 29 merit badges and has served in a variety of leadership positions, including Webelos Den Chief for Pack 199; and

WHEREAS, Andrew Kramer was awarded the Certificate of Merit by Troop #85 on September 6, 2008 for aiding a family whose canoe had flipped over in deeper water and was in need of assistance; and

WHEREAS, To achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, Andrew Kramer led a project that resulted in 43 units of blood being donated to the Red Cross, more than 500 pounds of food being donated to the Avon Township Food Pantry, and 200 pounds of clothing being donated to the Purple Heart Veterans association; and

WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout will be bestowed upon Andrew Kramer by the Boy Scouts of America at a Court of Honor ceremony on March 26, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Andrew Kramer serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Andrew Kramer on the occasion of attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Andrew Kramer as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
