HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Helen Schultz of East Dundee on the occasion of her 100th birthday on September 29, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Helen Schultz was born on September 29, 1912; she attended Lakeview High School in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Helen Schultz has volunteered and helped with fundraising for many organizations related to children, including the Hull House in Chicago; she has also served as a leader and officer for the Brownies, Girl Scouts, and Cub Scouts; and

WHEREAS, Helen Schultz enjoys gardening, traveling, and sailing; she also believes her secrets to longevity are "everything in moderation, and lots of time in the fresh air"; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Helen Schultz on her life of over 100 years and wish her many more years of continued health; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Helen Schultz as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
