HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Tod Eastman of HomeStar Bank and Financial Services of Manteno on recently being designated a Rising Star in the banking industry by NorthWestern Financial Review; and

WHEREAS, Rising Stars must be under the age of 45 and have worked for a bank for at least 10 years; they can hold any position in the bank and must work for a bank from Illinois, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Minnesota, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, or Iowa; and

WHEREAS, Tod Eastman joined HomeStar in 2000 as a Chief Technology Officer and has served with distinction in his role ever since; he has made numerous contributions to the organization, industry, and community; and

WHEREAS, Tod Eastman, as Chief Technology Officer, protects the technology systems of the bank and the financial information of the customers as if it were his own; he is committed to exceptional customer service; he is always working to do what he can to ensure customers receive the absolute best service and have a great experience each time they interact with HomeStar; and

WHEREAS, Tod Eastman has continued his banking education; he has graduated from the Midwest School for Community Banking sponsored by the Community Bankers Association of Illinois and has attended the Bank Technology Management School offered by the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wisconsin; and

WHEREAS, Tod Eastman is committed to the community banking industry and is on the front line of working with other leaders in the bank information technology community; he serves as the President of the Fiserv users group in Illinois; he serves on the Technology Committee of the Community Bankers Association of Illinois, allowing him to work with other leaders to review current and emerging technologies and how they impact community banks in Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Tod Eastman on his being named a Rising Star in the banking industry; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Tod Eastman as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
