HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to honor Oak Lawn Mayor David Heilmann for his dedication, commitment, and partnership with Advocate Christ Medical Center and Advocate Hope Children's Hospital; and

WHEREAS, Mayor Heilmann knows the important role that both Advocate Christ Medical Center and Advocate Hope Children's Hospital play in the community; he was a part of the hospital's planning process and was vital in helping the construction of the new outpatient pavilion move forward; and

WHEREAS, He helped initiate the annual Paint the Town Pink event, which brings breast cancer awareness and education to the community; and

WHEREAS, He was proud to welcome and address the health care leaders at the 2010 Sino-American Summit at Advocate Christ Medical Center and also participated in organ donor awareness events at the hospital; and

WHEREAS, Mayor Heilmann resides in Oak Lawn with his wife, Erica, and their children, Natalie, Joey, Michael, and Brooke; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we honor Mayor Heilmann and thank him for his commitment to the community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Mayor David Heilmann as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
