Amends the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the Illinois Racing Board.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning gaming.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975 is amended by changing Section 2 as follows:

(230 ILCS 5/2) (from Ch. 8, par. 37-2)

Sec. 2. There is hereby created and established an Illinois Racing Board which shall have the the powers and duties specified in this Act, and also the powers necessary and proper to enable it to fully and effectively execute all the provisions and purposes of this Act. The jurisdiction, supervision, powers, and duties of the Board shall extend under this Act to every person who holds or conducts any meeting within the State of Illinois where horse racing is permitted for any stake, purse or reward.
