SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 605/605-1010 new

Amends the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that each regional office of the Department may hire an individual to serve as Citizen Services Coordinator. Provides that each Citizen Services Coordinator shall assist citizens in the region in seeking out and obtaining State services and shall monitor citizen inquiries to determine which services are most in demand in the region.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section 605-1010 as follows:

(20 ILCS 605/605-1010 new)

Sec. 605-1010. Citizen Services Coordinator. Each regional office of the Department may hire an individual to serve as Citizen Services Coordinator. The Citizen Services Coordinator shall assist citizens in the region in seeking out and obtaining State services and shall monitor citizen inquiries to determine which services are most in demand in the region.
