HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce on the occasion of receiving 5-star accreditation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; and

WHEREAS, The U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Accreditation Program recognizes the hard work and dedication of local chambers of commerce in their work towards promoting strong business practices, making outstanding contributions to the community, offering strong support for the principles of free enterprise policy at the local, State, and federal levels, and establishing best practices within the ever-changing landscapes of industry; and

WHEREAS, The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce exists to serve many core functions for its members, and it chiefly provides advocacy, business resources and support, leadership and professional development, and community connections; and

WHEREAS, The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce seeks to make greater and more effective business and community relationships, to promote a healthy business environment, and to act as an effective partner for both community and business vitality; and

WHEREAS, The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce consists of a wide variety of local Springfield business leaders, investors, and overall community members who are all dedicated to the enhancement of the business environment at the local municipality and State levels; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce on receiving 5-star accreditation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to President Mike Murphy of the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce as an expression of our esteem and respect.
