SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of William "Bill" C. Lang Jr. of Rock
4Island, who passed away on June 26, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bill Lang was born to William and Cecelia
6(Boehmer) Lang Sr. in Moline on September 29, 1932; he was in
7the first class to graduate from Alleman High School; he
8served in the U.S. Navy; he married Alyce Koever at Sacred
9Heart Church in Moline on August 17, 1957; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Bill Lang worked for 35 years at the former
11Farmall Works, Rock Island; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Bill Lang was a member of Sacred Heart Church,
13the Viking Club of Moline, VFW Post 2153, and the Svithiod
14Club; he was past president of the Eagles Club and was a long
15time marshal at Indian Bluff Golf Course; he was a ticket taker
16for the Alleman football and basketball games for many years;
17and
 
18    WHEREAS, Bill Lang enjoyed golfing, playing cards, and
19going to the casinos; he was an avid Chicago Cubs fan; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Bill Lang was preceded in death by his wife; his

1daughter, Susan Lang; his sister, Jacqueline Thomas; and his
2twin brothers, Martin and Matthew Lang; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Bill Lang is survived by his son, Mark (Debbie)
4Lang; his grandsons, Tyson Lang Mayfield, Darrell (Genny)
5Dunlop, and Christopher Dunlop; his eight great-grandchildren;
6his seven great-great-grandchildren; his sisters, Joyce
7Baldwin and Kathryn Thomas; and his brothers, James Lang,
8Stephen Lang, and Thomas Lang; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11William "Bill" C. Lang Jr. and extend our sincere condolences
12to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
13it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Bill Lang as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
