SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

815 ILCS 670/5

Amends the Illinois Residential Building Code Act. Makes a technical change in the Section relating to the purpose of the Act.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning construction.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Residential Building Code Act is amended by changing Section 5 as follows:

(815 ILCS 670/5)

Sec. 5. Purpose. The purpose of this this Act is to provide minimum requirements for safety and to safeguard property and the public welfare by regulating and controlling the design, construction, installation, and quality of materials of new residential construction as regulated by this Act.
