SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Barbara C. "Barb" McCarthy of Lockport, who passed away on June 7, 2010; and

WHEREAS, Barbara McCarthy was born in Joliet; she was a lifelong resident of Lockport; and

WHEREAS, Barbara McCarthy was a retired teacher, having served at Kelvin Grove, Walsh, and Ludwig Schools; she also taught swimming at the Lockport Township Park District for many years; and

WHEREAS, Barbara McCarthy was a member of Women of the Moose, Lockport Lodge #1557; and

WHEREAS, Barbara McCarthy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lillian (Johnson) Cronholm, and her brother, Russell Cronholm; and

WHEREAS, Barbara McCarthy is survived by her one and only boyfriend and husband, Jack; her daughters, Pam (Mark) Frontera, Sarah (Jeff) Mormann, and Jackie (Mohamed Belkhayat) McCarthy; her grandchildren, Anthony and Nick Frontera, Jason, Becky, and Meghan Mormann, and Noah, Nora, Zane, and Zak Belkhayat; her brother, Dick (Barb) Cronholm; her sisters-in-law, Delores Cronholm and Noreen Piazza; her lifelong friends and club members, the "Domino Queens"; and her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Barbara C. "Barb" McCarthy; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Barbara McCarthy as an expression of our sympathy.
