SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ann T. Martin of Lake Forest, who passed away on May 14, 2010; and

WHEREAS, She was born in Lake Forest at the Alice Home Hospital on July 23, 1923; she was a graduate of Lake Forest High School (Class of 1941); and

WHEREAS, She retired from food service at both the East & West campuses of Lake Forest High School; she helped raise her grandchildren, she was an avid bingo player, and she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest and the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion in Lake Forest; and

WHEREAS, She was the sister of the late Dorothy Espinosa; and

WHEREAS, She was the wife of the late Earl Edward Martin, Sr. (1981); the mother of Patricia (Robert) Petersen, Wendy (Michael) Mc Kiernan, and the late Earl E. Jr. (Carol); she was the grandmother of Earl III and Timothy Martin, Heather Flynn, Brandon Konsler, and Peter and Nick McKiernan; and she was the great grandmother of four granddaughters; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Ann Martin; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ann Martin as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
