| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 |
| learn of the death of Joseph E. "Jody" Trover Sr. of | 4 |
| Belleville, who passed away on April 28, 2010; and
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He began his career at the age of 13 as a caddy at | 6 |
| St. Louis Country Club; there he discovered his love of golf; | 7 |
| in 1962, he went to work for a new sandwich business and | 8 |
| married Jeanette the following year; he went on to pursue his | 9 |
| dreams, a family, a business, sitting on boards, and being | 10 |
| involved in the church and the community; and
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, He still found time for golf, hunting, fishing, | 12 |
| and friends or a stranger; and
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, He bought Landshire Incorporated, the company | 14 |
| known for distributing sandwiches, in 1966; he also operated | 15 |
| Yorktown Golf Course in Shiloh and Practice T in Fairview | 16 |
| Heights; he was also involved with Head Start in East St. | 17 |
| Louis; and

| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin | 19 |
| Trover; and
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, Joseph Trover Sr. is survived by his mother, |

| Mildred; his wife, Jeanette; their four children and their | 2 |
| loving partners; his 13 grandchildren; his sister and brother; | 3 |
| his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, as well as many dear | 4 |
| nieces, nephews, family, and friends; therefore, be it
| 5 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL | 6 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 7 |
| his family and friends, the passing of Joseph Trover Sr.; and | 8 |
| be it further
| 9 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 10 |
| presented to the family of Joseph Trover Sr. as a symbol of our | 11 |
| sincere sympathy.
