SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mary Lou Gust of Beach Park, who passed away on March 10, 2010; and

WHEREAS, She was born July 16, 1946 in Waukegan and remained a lifelong area resident; she was a member of Our Lady of Humility Parish in Beach Park; and

WHEREAS, She had a passion for cooking and gardening and loved crafting and organizing floral classes; she enjoyed raising Labrador dogs and riding horses and was a poultry breeder; and

WHEREAS, She was a member of the Village of Beach Park Parks and Recreation Committee and belonged to the North Shore Snow Seekers snowmobile club; she began as a part time teller, moved to supervisor, then manager at Baxter Credit Union; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Mary K. (nee Kutzler) Hibel; and

WHEREAS, Mary Lou Gust is survived by her husband, Richard; her three daughters, Kathy and grandchildren, Michael and Stephanie, Karen (Tony) Belluomini, and Kelly (Todd) VanHorn and grandchildren, Madison, Mackenzie, Morgan, and Cameron; her brother, Augie (Suzie) Hibel; and her niece, Sally Hibel; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Mary Lou Gust; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary Lou Gust as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
