SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Rose M. Pullara of Joliet, who passed away on January 17, 2010; and

WHEREAS, Rose Pullara was born on June 21, 1920, in Joliet; her parents were Paul and Onofria "Sophie" (Panepinto) Trizzino; she married Peter Pullara on December 19, 1936; and

WHEREAS, Rose Pullara was a lifelong resident of Joliet; she attended Washington Grade School and Joliet Central High School; and

WHEREAS, Rose Pullara was employed as a cafeteria supervisor for 35 years in Joliet School District 204; she worked at Joliet Central from 1959 to 1964, Joliet East from 1964 to 1983, and Joliet West from 1983 until her retirement in 1993; and

WHEREAS, Rose Pullara was a member of St. Anthony's CCW and Altar and Rosary; in 1998, she was named Woman of the Year at St. Anthony's Church; and

WHEREAS, Rose Pullara was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Mary; her brothers, Paul Trizzino and Eugene Trizzino; her husband, Peter; her son, Peter J. Pullara; her grandson, Tanner; her granddaughter, Tara (Southcombe) Pullara; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bernard and Onofrey Pullara; her brother-in-law, John (Fran) Pullara; and her sister-in-law, Millie (the late Joseph) Korst; and

WHEREAS, Rose Pullara is survived by her brother, Richard (Judy) Trizzino; her sons, Bernard Pullara and Paul (Cheryl) Pullara; her grandchildren, Laurie (Mitch) Ramsey, Michael (Diane) Pullara, Peter (Jeanne) Pullara, Sally Pullara, David (Martine) Pullara, Steven (Mary Sue) Pullara, Bernard (Cindy) Pullara, Brian (Tasha) Pullara, Kevin (Kelly) Pullara, Joe (Lindsay) Pullara, Mark (Laura) Pullara, and Jason (the late Tara) Pullara; her great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Jonathan, and Alexander Pullara, Alexis, Ariana, and Austin Pullara, Alyssa, Alayna, and Jacob Pullara, Steven, Luke, Josh, Ryan, and Morgan Pullara, Haley, Scot, Tanner, Madison, Bernard and Katerina Pullara, Nicole, Heaven, Starlene, and Brian Pullara, and Gianna and Matteo Pullara; and her several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Rose M. Pullara; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Rose Pullara as an expression of our sympathy.
