SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Reverend Dale G. Clemens of Collinsville, who passed away on November 15, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Rev. Dale Clemens served as head pastor at the Meadow Heights Baptist Church in Collinsville for 27 years until his retirement; after retiring, he served at Meadow Heights as an associate pastor, where he worked with senior citizens and did counseling work; he most recently served as Pastor Emeritus; and

WHEREAS, Rev. Dale Clemens was very active in the Illinois Baptist State Association, serving as president twice during the 1970s; and

WHEREAS, Rev. Dale Clemens was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Tessie Clemens; and

WHEREAS, Rev. Dale Clemens is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ada Ann Clemens; his children, Kimberly (Robert) Martin and Jeffrey (Jananne) Clemens; his grandchildren, Peter Clemens, Matthew Martin, Caitlin Clemens, Andrew Martin, Emma Clemens, James Clemens, and Zoe Clemens; and his brother, Bill Clemens; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Reverend Dale G. Clemens; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Rev. Dale Clemens as an expression of our sympathy.
