SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Charles E. Gesky of Waukegan, who passed away on October 22, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Charles "Chuck" Gesky was born January 29, 1945 in Waukegan and married Loretta Zaker on August 31, 1973 in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, He retired as a mail carrier in Waukegan three years ago, after 30 years of service; he enjoyed golf and was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan; and

WHEREAS, He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served during the Vietnam era; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard; his parents, Karl & Agatha Gesky; his sister-in-law, Debra Sleddens and his father-in-law, Vincent Zaker; and

WHEREAS, Charles Gesky is survived by his wife, Loretta; his daughters, Phyllis Kozlowski and Sara (Ryan) Ames; his son, Charles "CJ" Gesky; his grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Ethan, Kaylie, Jane, Ross, and "Flash"; his sisters-in-laws, Bonnie (David) Brogan and Roberta (Steve) McKay; his mother-in-law, Loretta Zaker; his brothers, Karl, Wayne, and Dennis Gesky; his sisters, Marilyn Ratliff and Rose Gesky; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Charles Gesky; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Charles E. Gesky as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
