SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Rudolph W. Alderin of Gurnee, formerly of Bonita Springs, Florida, who passed away on July 26, 2009; and

WHEREAS, He was born on July 3, 1915 in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army; he was a member of the V.F.W. in Waukegan and the Bonita Springs Moose Lodge and American Legion; and

WHEREAS, He retired from U.S. Steel in 1977 after 40 years of employment; he enjoyed fishing, bowling, and gardening; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal; his grandson, Matthew Lepke; and his three sisters and three brothers; and

WHEREAS, Rudolph Alderin is survived by his daughters, Patricia (George) Alexoff and Judith (Michael) Sutter; his five grandchildren; his five great-grandchildren; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Rudolph Alderin; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Rudolph W. Alderin as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
