SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Donald W. Bloom of Antioch, who passed away on July 28, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Donald W. Bloom was born on January 18, 1933 in Wadsworth and lived most of his life in Antioch; and

WHEREAS, He served in the United States Army during the Korean War; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; and his loving sister, Ann (Bill) Krieg; and

WHEREAS, Donald Bloom is survived by his son, David D. Bloom; his two grandchildren, Brittany and Christopher Bloom; and his loving brother, John (Joyce) Bloom; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Donald Bloom; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Donald Bloom as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
