SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mary Jane Hepler of Glen Carbon, formerly of Venice, Florida and Meadville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 22, 2009; and

WHEREAS, She was born on June 11, 1922, in Cochranton, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Clarence and Florence (Pattison) Peters; she married Paul Eugene Hepler on February 7, 1941, in Cochranton, Pennsylvania; and

WHEREAS, She was a member of Eden United Church of Christ in Edwardsville, Past President of the Order of Eastern Star in Meadville, Pennsylvania, and a resident at Meridian Village, where she was involved in many activities; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; and her brother, Paul Peters; and

WHEREAS, Mary Jane Hepler is survived by her son, Larry Hepler and his wife, Sue; her grandchildren: Sara Christine Hentz and her husband, Kurt, and James Pattison Hepler and his wife, Julie; her great-grandchildren, Joshua Power, Will Hentz, Quincy Hepler, and J.P. Hepler; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Mary Jane Hepler; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary Hepler as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
